We are writing to provide information regarding a recent nationwide data security incident involving Instructure, the provider of the Canvas learning management system used at our high schools. Based on current reports, the breach appears to have targeted university systems and larger organizations.
At this time, there is no indication that SRCS data was impacted. Furthermore, as a precautional measure, Aeries (our student information system) has verified that its integration with Canvas remains secure. Canvas is currently operational for student and staff use.
SRCS takes the security of student and staff information very seriously. We actively monitor our digital systems and will continue to closely follow this situation. If any new information becomes available that affects our community, we will provide updates promptly. |
